Yes, lactating is when you are producing milk. We don't call it milking we call it pumping or expressing milk. But it is just as healthy for a baby to drink breast milk from a bottle as from your breast. And it's less painful too

I've never heard it called milking. That sounds kind of crass to me if you're referring it to breast feeding.

Milking is what you do to cows to gather the milk for production in bottles to the market.

Breast feeding is what a human mother does naturally to feed her baby.

Breast mik has way more nutrients. in the 1960's they where selling that fake milk stuff like crazy. Scientist said it was better then milk. It was all a big lie to make you buy the stuff. Then scientist and doctors started saying the truth about your milk.

call it what you want-it is still the best milk for the baby and unlike other sources, it gives some forms of immunization to the infant-can't beat that. marlyne B

it feels like it. but you are not a cow so no. some women dont like to be touched there except by a partner. so for those its hard to get passed that type of feeling.
