Close and lock the doors from the inside.
Then rapidly insert in and out the key of the ignition switch until the parking lights start blinking. When they do, flip the key to the "ignition position," then press the lock button on the keyless remote. Close the switch, take out the key, unlock the doors, get out of the car and try your keyless remote.

i just programmed my 95 pathfinder remote this weekend. I'll tell you what I did and you can try it. Under the drivers seat there is a little black box with a hole in the top mine had a factory nissan sticker over it, inside the hole there is a button, press it and then it will start to beep while it is beeping put your key in the ignition turn it on as far as you can without starting vehichle. Now press the lock button on your remote. turn off the ignition and press the lock button on the remote again. it should lock now and work, if not then ignore everything I said, and good luck to you.

Pull into any Nissan service department and act half stupid. Normally one of the service writers will sit and walk you through it. Or even a salesmen may help if he is not busy.

Always go to the experts...those that touch your product on a daily basis.
