People asking questions that ask others to generalize about groups of people in a "politically correct" society is pretty embarassing...
It's entirely possible to be a high-end, cutting edge scientist and believe in God. Many do. If you can tell me how someone could be a non-Christian and be able to intelligently discuss the Bible and faith, I'd like to hear it...

Creationists... At least most of those that believe in evolution but talk about religion have a genuine interest in trying to figure out what makes these people (creationists) tick and why people believe it so much... The creationists on the other hand only ever seem to want evolution disproved and that's it.

Creationists talking about science, clearly. 99 times out of 100 they don't even bother to understand the principles of what they are trying so desperately to tear down and when they do it's usually grossly misunderstood.
Hell I'll even extend that to creationists talking about the bible. It's clear a lot of the time they don't know much about that either.

well id go with the creationists. why? because beleive it or not us atheists and nonbeleivers actually sit down and study the bible, understand the beleif and the psychology behind it. as a mattr of fact weve even gone as far as makign the Skeptics Annotated Bible.
christian trying to understand and explain scientific theories is absurd because few actually sit down and try to understand them, they have no concept of understanding and then bringing up the counter points or flaws in the theories.
many nonbeleivers, such as myself, actually study the bible in great lengths so we can get the theists ontheir loopholes and inconsistencis in the bible. at the AN (or Atheist Network) message board we have an entire section designated for biblical errancy where we actually talk about the errors and flaws in the bible. i reccomend checking it out.
i myself have read the bible twice, from front to back and am somewhat fluent in it. there are plenty of people far more fluent but i can hold my ground in a theological debate. and thats where the difference is between the beleivers and nonbeleivers. many nonbelievers can hold their own in a debate on theology, many beleivers cannot hold their own in debates on science.
that in itself should give you the answer youre looking for.
great question. i bet you werent expecting this kind of answer though.

Creationists talking about science.
Im an atheist, and I bet I know more about Christianity's origins than you do. This is one of the reasons we are atheists. Weve read, evaluated, and cannot find the logic in your religion.

Well to be fair, most non-christians (or Ex christians) know more about that irrelevant book of bronze-age jewish mythology than christians do!
