I would like to know the significance of Babylon the Great. I think the end is coming soon what action should I be taking. What does "get out of her my people" mean?

Babylon the Great, is symbolic of the world of false religion.
So if your religion has teachings that developed in Babylon your religion is then part of her empire.
Getting out of her means leaving any church that teaches false doctrines.
some examples are:
trinity / trinities
immortality of the soul
hell fire / eternal torture for the wicked

Yes, the end is near as defined by the bible in Matthew 24:3-14. According to my bible it states"and the good news of the kinngdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come." so the only religion know that does that must know some thing about the end otherwise what would they preach. and how would they tell the whole world if they only brocasted through a television set. Surely, it would have to be a personal interview.
P.S.John 13:34,35 Jesus told his followers. "I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another; just as I have loved you , that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love amongst yourselves."
1 John 4:8-"God is love."

Why should you care about the end of the world??? You may die long before our world turns to wandering ashes.
Maybe we could stop an evil 'Babylon' system if we love each other and spread peace and love throughout the world...don't you think?

Notce what Jesus says "Come out of her MY people." The people are His they have just been misled. But his sheep know his voice and will follow Him.
Babylon and her daughters have doctrines that are not based in scripture her "wine that makes people drunk". God wants His people to come back to the Bible and follow Him according to His word. The problem is that the teachings of Babylon and her daughters are inticing, they are comfortable and people are familiar with them, but they make people "drunk" and slowly lead people away from the truth of God.

I don't know.
But Jehovah's Witnesses think they do.
Here are a few quotes from their very reliable literature:
"In the year 1918 when Christendom shall go down as a system to oblivion...."
"When God shall put out Christendom's light in 1918...."
Those two quotes are from "The Finished Mystery" published by the Watchtower Society in 1917, pages 513 and 515
the following is a quote from "The Nations Shall Know that I am Jehovah - How?" published by them in 1971, page 216
"Shortly, within our twentieth century, the "battle in the day of Jehovah" will begin against the modern antitype of Jerusalem, Christendom."
So if a Jehovah's Witness answers your question, you can see if their answers are really based on the Scriptures, as above. According to the Watchtower of Dec 15, 1990 "delightful, correct words of truth" have been presented in the Watchtower publications for over a century.

America will prob be seeing much terrorism and geophysical events... Stay close to HIM, pray and listen to the Holy Spirit. I don't beleive false religion-government is going to end (be in the world not OF the world). They will call evil -good and good they will call evil. also pray for those not in Christ.

"Get out of her my people", get out of the world, we are to be in the world but not of the world. Babylon is representative of the world with all of it's lusts and greed's.
