I am looking for a free program to "capture" audio and/or video off of a website and be able to save it to my hard drive preferrably in a common audio or video format (.mp3, .wav, .avi, .divx etc.)

Look for Fraps. As for .mp3, if it is streamed you can find it on your HDD in a temp file. Try doing a search for anything created within a few minutes of when you listened to the music, then rename that file to something.mp3.

Good luck!
