Under No Circumstances Is Torture Justified
The human body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit

I believe that torture for its own sake, as a means of punishment and nothing else, is wrong. However, what about torturing a person to extract information from him or her, information that could save 10, 20, 30 or more lives - is that torture justified? I think it is. Just think - if one of the hijackers who caused the 9/11 carnage had been caught a week before the planned attacks, and the CIA or FBI had used torture to extract information that would have prevented the attacks and 3,000+ dead, surely that would have been acceptable? Or has the world grown so politically correct that it is deemed better to let 3,000+ innocent people die rather than torture one terrorist in the making?

Why anyone believes this is the way to find answers, it utterly beyond me. Torture any being beyond endurance and they will give you any answer that comes into their head, and confess to any act, just to get the pain to stop.......but is that the truth???? No human being has the right to torture and man, woman or animal on Gods good green earth; what makes them think they have that right? Will they tell their children what they have done as they sit waiting for Santa on Xmas Eve??? Explain how they cut a womans breasts off after mass-raping her, on the day of their childs birthday? Will they say how they killed a million people because they were "ordered to". Not only the torturers are scum, but those who give such orders are not fit to breathe Gods clean air.

No absolutly not. Why should I support what Bush is doing? He say's he is a Christian, but he isn't showing anybody in the States God's love. In fact he's not showing aybody.
But I'm not an American, I didn't have the choice to vote him in for Precidency for another term. If anyone is to blame then you have to blame the voters. Many knew what he was like before they voted him back. Saying that Gore wasn't much of a choice neither from what I heard.

It's a bad move. It's lowering the bar of what is acceptable in society. Is it a good idea to be turning American soldiers into torturers? What happens when these guys leave the army and are back on the streets?

What about the way they treat our pows? Even the many civilian workers who were there to help the Iraqi people were kidnapped and had their heads cut off. Don't you agree that 's much worse than taking pics of pows naked? Terrorists are animals who are willing to kill themselves to destroy infidels. I think they have the same rights as other prisoners and we treat them alot better than they treat our people. I'm over the bleeding hearts who feel sorry for these murderers. They deserve much worse thanwhat we do to them.
