I am sure that are some of us out here who haven't been with another person for quite a while would be tickled to death if you showed up like that. The fact that you showed up, and wanted to be with her is what I would notice. I would not be counting whiskers or comparing wardrobes. This is not an after shave commercial. I would be looking at the expression in your eyes and the feeling what was coming out of your heart toward me. People's values are different. Clothing is important to some people. To other people, what is going on inside your Spirit is the only thing that counts. You are who you are. That's cool. (Did anybody notice that?) Some people like a simple date and that was fun and now for something totally different, as Monty Python said. But some people are interested in going long distance and seeing you again and again. These long distance runners would be happy if you came by and were just yourself, enjoyed being with whomever you were with, and were genuine from start to end. You know, real, down-to-earth chemistry. Funny how age improves your eyesight, huh. Sent to you with a smile from Chris in South Portland, Maine, U.S.A. (I am 63 years old.)

Personally! I think men should ALWAYS make an effort when goin on a date! Women like to see that you have made the effort to look nice for them as no doubt she will have spent hours getting ready for the date!
It depends on her but I would think she would feel slightly let down that you didnt make loads of effort for her and first apperances count!

As long as you told her she looked like a model, or that you at least complimented her on her appearance, then its fine.
It also kind of depends on the t-shirt and jeans in question. There are different degrees of t-shirt acceptancy. Was it one you would wear to bed or a nice one?
I personally much prefer the casual look. Its unpretentious and thats really attractive.

Did you tell her where you'd be going? Sounds like you (both) had different expectations. You were wrong if you went to a fancy place. She overdressed if you were at a burger joint. Tell her that she looked like a model, laugh at yourself (take the hit for the team) for misunderstanding and ask her out again. Ask her what she's going to wear so you can dress similarly.
Sounds like you're a lucky guy!
Good luck!

You should always try to look good when on a date with your girl. You have to represent her just as well as she represent you. If she looking as good as a model then you should make an effort not to embarrass her by being a bum or dressing like one.

Was it somewhere special, was she annoyed with you, just make more of an effort next time or she will be thinking you don't care about her, treat her to a special meal out this weekend to say your a dumb *** and tell her how much she means to you.

Women always dress nice for a date because we want to make a good impression. In the future, you should do the same. If she really likes you, it shouldn't matter what you wear. What really matters is how you treated her.

I bet you felt like a moron didn't ya? I wouldn't worry to much about it though. If she uses that as a basis for whether or not she will see you again then I'm thinking that she's pretty shallow.
