My mother has been a speech pathologist for 30 years. She goes to many conferences and workshops about stuttering. I believe they can be very helpful. You might look up something on the web to see if there are any conferences in your area. If not, I would definitely reccommend going to a Speech Path. or someone who knows anything about Assistive Technology if you'd be interested in trying a device to help you. There are many Assistive Tech. sites online that you can check out as well. Good luck!

most stutterers experience the height of their stutters in times of excitement, anxiety or agitation.
it would help if you try to speak more slowly and relax when you talk. During times of great stress, speak in monosyllabics to disguise your stutter. (e.g. "okay", "Nope", "sure", etc.)
unfortunately, stuttering is a neurological condition that sometimes requires medication to contain. Risperdal and Zyprexa are some of drugs said to have positive effects.
Neither of these have been approved by the FDA though.

I would recommend seeing a good Classical Homeopath in your area. I have personally known 2 cases of neurologically induced stuttering being cured. Good Luck
