They all result from the search for truth and beauty. Some of what the followers of these traditions discovered is truthful and beautiful. Some of their beliefs and practices are truthful but not beautiful. Some are beautiful but not truthful. Some are wrong, and some are just plain silly.
What bothers me most about religious fundamentalism is the idea of blind faith, which denies the "true believer" the freedom to separate the wheat from the chaff, the truth from the nonsense.

Is this the third statement (posing as a question) in a Socratic equation?
I will hereby conjoin my two answers:
It seems likely that, yes, all major religious traditions of the world except Christianity contain truth and beauty. Christianity does not contain truth and beauty. It is truth and beauty.

Yes, including Christianity and non-major religions. The problem, as you can see by their constant harassment of other religions, including NOT turning the other cheek on this question, is that they don't, in general, really worship or follow Jesus. This is a prime example of what happens when idolatry takes over a religion; in this case the idolatry of scripture. Truly words are as shapeable as any clay, gold, or wood.
If you have access to their Bible turn to the 17th and 19th chapter of Acts. This is proof that the Apostles did not teach against anyone's' religion, being very accepting, they taught against idolatry; which ironically, idolatry seams the basis for Christianity today.
They don't believe in Jesus, they Believe in the Bible, but only to where it suites them: the term Pharisees comes to mind. Don't waste your time inciting them, they think their salvation is for free, just because they profess the name of Jesus by mouth, obviously not by heart; and they will have a rude awakening on judgement day.

No. Christianity has truth and beauty in it as well. Like with all religions, some of the followers sling mud and it makes it hard to see the beauty in it.

The only reason people believe lies is because they are half truths.
2 Corinthians 11:14

Will,
Thanks for not including Christianity. I am so against calling it a religion.

The only beauty in Christianity is looking up god's, Jesus' or the pope's dress.

confident, i believe this. it somewhat is unlucky that we tend to work out the adverse facet, in keeping with a small share of people who believe in a faith that do not signify the comprehensive thing approximately that faith.
