Please do not answer with Faith. Faith is a "belief" not a fact. Faith is Hope, not truth. Faith is given to you through the reactions of our mind with our environment. Faith is something you say because of your denial that when it all ends, it could very easily be darkness.

Faith is an important component of belief but I also believe that through logical explanation and science more eveidence indicates the existance of a higher, more intelligent being (God). Beyond obvious natural miracles such as; bees and ants building complex societies, the perfect position of the sun in distance to the Earth etc. There are some more unexplained phenomenas that are so unlikely to have spontaneously ocurred, that the most logical explanation is God. Let's look at the creation of the universe (big bang)...scientists can date the universe back all the way until10^-43rd power of a second, in which time the universe is unaccounted for. Something MUST have triggered the bee bee sized compact galaxies to expand. Another miracle is that of protein strands consisting of polypeptide chains. These chains harbor 500 amino acids in an EXACT correct sequence. The chances of this ocurring naturally in nature is 10^950! Science claim 10^50 nearly impossible. These facts helped me in determining my own principles; it takes alot more "blind faith" to believe we somehow spontaneously "happened" (10^950 chance) than believing in a supernatural power (God). Thanks for reading. Plz stay open-monded! :-D

So what is "Truth"? Is it all relative? If you say yes, then that makes it a truth, doesn't it? Given to you by who? If Truth does not exist, then where does any sense of right and wrong come from? Does that make everything OK? EVERYTHING? If so, then is that the universal Truth?

If a single Truth does in fact exist (and it must, otherwise we can keep going around in circles), then it must come to us from an entity external to ourselves as thinking, logical humans. Therefore, a logical, thinking human being would not see your "darkness when it all ends". Logic, as you say, is absolute, and so is God.

Science is the study of the natural world. It cannot address the spiritual, or supernatural realm. If you're asking science to explain everything before you'll believe in it, you'll be waiting a while...

As far as faith goes: "Faith is the assured expectation of things hoped for, the evident demonstration of realities though not beheld," (Hebrews 11:1) Faith is actually believing in things that you cannot directly prove, but you believe in them because of other things you see and know to be true.

There is no logic to disprove a thing that has not direct evidence.
Logical proof against God, or pink aliens, or hubert the all-powerful goat-king, is pointless.

Logical arguments require premises and assumptions.

In reference to God, those premises are provided by elements of faith. For most God-oriented conclusions, there are elements of faith designed to make those conclusions true.

Because God is also absolute. In that sense, they are one.

I hope that I will not offend you, but it seems to me that your question implies the only perception of God being that steming from illogical dogma. Also, there is a big difference between religion and spirituality.

If you love logic as I do, you may enjoy reading "Rational Spirituality" on the Dhaxem website, and you may meet with a new concept of God.

Over the years, I've met many leading scientists and other intellectuals who not only believed in God, but told me they had concluded it was far more logical to believe in God than to disbelieve in Him.

Why did they come to this conclusion? One reason, I discovered, was because they had an open mind, and were willing to examine the evidence for God and weigh it carefully and honestly. Can you say that about yourself—or is your mind closed, because you aren't willing to change it? Only you can answer this, of course—but I challenge you to be honest with yourself, and be open to the possibility that God does exist.

But many of those men and women came to believe in God for another reason: They examined the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, and came to put their faith and trust in Him. You see, Jesus made the most startling claim imaginable: He claimed to be God in human flesh. He boldly declared, "Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father" (John 14:9).

Was His claim true? Yes—and the reason is because Jesus did something no one else had ever done, or ever will do: He died and three days later came back to life. Do you want to know what God is like? Look at Jesus Christ—and when you do, you won't only discover that God exists, but that He loves you and wants you to be part of His family forever.

Because it is logical to posit the existence of a supreme being.

Because God revealed his existence to mankind in many ways, over many years.

Because a man who claimed to be God proved it by performing many predicted miracles, including raising himself up from the dead.

He can't, you got it.
Especially the modern xian god. He has been set up to be an impossibility. It's impossible to reconcile this world and the horrors of the bible with an omniscient, omnipotent, "omni-benevolent" god.

Believer_in_jesus, let's say there are 1,000 gods that man worships. You say 999 don't exist, I say 1,000 don't exist. Why are you more open-minded than me?

Logic is fine in the level of mortal beings.. when one rises above that level, one would have to be either stupid or unthinking..Even pi had to be changed in space..this was found out quite by accident. But that alteration of logic has proven to be pretty accurate.
