For the _families_ of abused children? The families are usually the ones who abuse them.
I volunteer for CASA - court appointed special advocates. We do work with the families, too, to try and get them the help they need so that they can have their children returned to them, but our duty is to the children. We try to get them into safe, nurturing homes within a year of being taken into custody.

Not a damn thing. I could care less about the families that are doing the abusing. Its more the abused children I care about......and they are most likely being abused by some religious fundie....

putting out education and devoting days to talk about it, having an open channel to talk about it
abuse is the symptom, the actual cause is much deeper
check out the book listed below
we have discussion groups as well as visit people in these circumstances and just be with them, let them talk about it if they want, pursue the law if they want, but educate and understanding helps the most

We do better...
Anyone who has been found to have committed pedophilia is removed from the congregation until true repentance is demonstrated, and even then they will never be put in a position of responsibility or be allowed to be alone with children. We don't cover up things like that and move them to a different city to let them continue.
