Common or not, it is a risk, and doctors advise against mixing alcohol with ANY medication, even aspirin or antihistamines.
Alcohol temporarily lowers blood pressure, so you can feel faint anyway. Especially if you have a cough, or if you smoke, you might "see stars".
The liver and kidneys have the job of cleaning foreign substances OUT of the system, and they can be overloaded , the more stuff you take in.
Are you talking about memory--loss blackouts, or passing out and falling? Fainting and falling are very dangerous symptoms. You should quit the mixing of alcohol and pills, whatever those two drugs happen to be. Check them out on google, and see what side--effects are commonly reported.

I wouldnt drink if that happens and black outs for drinking could mean you have a problem. The only people I know that have blackouts are alcoholics.

Blacking out on anything is never normal...you do not need to mix the two. Blacking out is your body telling you something is way wrong.

You are an idiot!!! Mixing meds and booze will cause a blackout and possibly death. And if you are on Valpro, kiss your kidneys good bye too!
