You should learn how to spell sixteen before you try rainsing kids.
I'm actually going to give this question a serious answer though, because there seems to be a real problem in this country with young kids trying to leap frog their way into adulthood by doing everything from developing a smoking habit to getting pregnant on purpose.
Ask yourself these two questions first:
1. Can you afford a child? The average child will cost you over $200,000 to raise from birth to the age of 18. That's over $11,000 a year for every child you have. Do you have room in your budget for that? Do you even have a job at 16? Shouldn't you be worrying about what you're going to get on your spelling test?
2. Once the baby isn't a cute little baby anymore, and becomes a whining, crying, screaming, pooping, barfing traffic jam in your social life, are you still going to want it? Don't say yes, because the answer is NO!! You won't want to sit at home and take care of some brat while all your friends go off to school and college and date and actually have fun with their youth instead of throwing it all away by having a kid waaaaay before they should have.
Don't get me wrong, I love kids, but there is a time in your life for everything and this isn't it, I promise you. Enjoy not having major responsibilities right now. You'll have more than your share soon enough.

Not have a baby, then figure out why it is you want one. If you're looking to have someone to love, and assume they'll love you back, that's the worst reason of all to have one. Babies are not a cure for lonliness or insecurity. They require you to put their needs first. You can't put them off, you have to earn money to take care of them (and, no, welfare does not qualify in case you were thinking about it). You have to think about both your lives beyond how you feel this moment. How do you plan on supporting this baby? What kind of job can you get with a less than high school education? Where do you plan on raising your child? Do you have a home of your own?
Bottom line: If you do not have your own place, have a job, have an education, have money in the bank, transportation- basically, the ability to live independently, you have no business having a child. There are adults who have these things and it's still a tough job.
Side note: If you are sexually active, make sure you are on birth control to eliminate the possibility of an unplanned pregnancy. Use condoms. Go to your doctor or clinic and have the required gynological exams on a regular basis. DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF THINKING "IT CAN'T HAPPEN TO ME," BECAUSE IT'S ALREADY HAPPENED TO MILLIONS LIKE YOU.
It's probably more of an answer than you wanted, but if you wanted and honest answer, this was it. I'm not going to sugarcoat it.

At sixteen you are wanting to have an eighteen year commitment to a human being.
Unfortunately, you can't cancel your membership to parenthood when you get frustrated, bored or overwhelmed. It is difficult to get a career going when you have doctor visits, daycare, and school cancellations. Not to mention the numerous emergencies that a child will without a doubt have over the course of growing up.
There is a real need for financial stability and responsibility when raising children and you may not be at that point in your life at this moment.
A child is not a pet you can leave with someone else when you tire of it.

I think you should wait. And pls dont think that this is coming from some old woman who cant remember what it feels like to be your age. I am 23 and when i was at school alot of my friends got pregnant and i thought that it looked like a good idea. I was obsessed with the idea and i even thought that i was pregnant when i was 16, luckily i wasnt. I look back now and thank god that i didnt get pregnant. Dont get me wrong there are alot olf teen mums out there who do a real good job of it and bring their kids up nice and respectful but i saw at least 4 of my close friends get pregnant in our teens and they now have 2 maybe 3 kids by different blokes because the first dad didnt stick about cause he was just a kid himself. I know you think that you want a baby right now but in reality can you afford it? is this just so as you can get a flat of the council? belive me my friends waited 2 years to get one and they were living out of hostels before that. Its no fun being a teen mum, your always be skint and never be able to go out. Even with all your family to help out it will be a tough job. Please think about it. You dont want to throw your life away before you have been out and seen some of the world. Live your life, fall in love, get married and then have kids when your grown up enough to handle it.

I think that you like the idea of a baby. You're 16. Enjoy it while you can.

Wait until your old enough to get a job to support it so I don't have to by way of my taxes going to your welfare payments.

WAIT TILL YOUR OLDER, I MEAN ARE YOU SURE YOUR RESPONSIBLE ENOUGH? IT SOUNDS EASY BUT IT'S NOT SO JUST WAIT TILL YOUR OLDER AND MORE MATURE....PLUS YOUR SIXTEEN, I MEAN ISN'T IT THE TIME TO GO HANG OUT AND LIVE LIFE, JUST IMAGINE HAVING A BABY THEN REGRETING AFTERWARDS. JUST THINK ABOUT YOUR LIFE AND YOUR FUTURE, DO YOU WANT TO RUIN IT NOW,,,MY ADVICE IS TO LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST BEFORE YOU BECOME A STAY AT HOME MOM.....
