Borden is not really a town. It's a military base with live fire ranges, an airfield, base housing, vehicle testing grounds,demolitions school, a couple fast food joints and there used to be a movie theatre, when I trained there. It's located about 10 miles north west of Alliston, for the south gates and a stone's throw from Angus for the north gate.
To put it in a larger perspective it's a drive of about 1 1/4 hours to the north west of the northern outskirts of Toronto.

Used to live at 80 Maple Drive, Airforce Side, 1986 to 1990, in Borden (Boredom). Now live in North York. Depends on the way you go and time of week, day. Usually on average 90 minutes.

about 25 minutes SW of Barrie off of Highway 90, which is about 40 minutes North of Toronto.
Not much going on there since the Base became less active.

yes 20 minutes south of barrie, I've worked there as a staff member to a summer cadet camp. It's kinda shitty , but can be a fun place to meet people Barrie is really fun!
