I've had boys tell me I'm pretty, beautiful, and gorgeous, and a few times I've had a boy tell me I was cute. And I don't get what "cute" means. Like is it a good compliment or does it mean he doesn't think I'm good looking enough to say I'm pretty or beautiful?? So my question is, what exactly does it mean when a guy says your cute??? What does he think about you???

i truely haven`t figured it out myself my suggestion is if you have any guy friends that your really close to maybe trying asking them about it cuz i tend to find that guys know a lot about each other so try asking a guy

A cute girl is a girl that has some special quality that the specific guy is into.
If I'm absolutely sure my friends will agree that the girl is good looking, I'll say she's hot or she's gorgeous. A cute girl is a girl whose attractiveness might be somewhat debatable. Maybe she's not gorgeous, but she has beautiful eyes, which I love. She's cute.
Or the guy is really lame and hit up thesaurus.com to find an alternate wording for his attraction.

I had a guy tell me I was cute... he actually explained to me that he thought I was cute, but not sexy. How wrong is that?
Anyhow, you are 14. You have a while before you need to be beautiful or sexy... so don't read too much into it.

every guy has a different response. Cute is the same as beautiful and he is saying it cuz he likes u; and is shy to express his real intentions

i think that they were nervous about saying that you were beautiful so they said cute instead
just because they said your cute doesn't mean that they dont think that you are beautiful

Well you seem to be young, so don't work. Guys identify girls in different categories. There are your Pretty Girls (usually wear make-up, have more defined features, pronounced cheek bones) Cute Girls (Rounder, soft, baby face, dimples, warm smile, very girlie) Sexy (sultry, looks older, little on the sassy side, the bad girl).
So it is not bad to be called "cute". The one you don't want to be called is "nice" or"alright".

Honestly, take it as a compliment and move on. Dont try to disect this compliment.
Cute is cute... Its not gorgeous, its not beautiful. its Better than ok but not extreme.
There is no future with a guy who says your cute... they are nice and paying a compliment but nothing more really. Unless they start talking to you and like your personality.
