Did you keep your cool with a rude co-worker by remembering Jesus' words? Did you retain some inner peace by meditating during a traffic jam? Did thinking of the Threefold Law prevent you from doing something you might later have regretted?

Well, today someone was very rude and offensive in asking about Christians being stupid, and I wanted to scream at her, but I remembered that Jesus said we should love these people and pray for them, so instead I just asked her why she was so angry and had a rational discussion with her.

You should let me know how you do that Carol... cause my meditation isn't cutting it. But then my belief is that we are all suppose to experience the horrible parts of life for a reason. So when I can't pay my bills, and don't know where I'm gonna live next month, I remember that I charted it and that I wouldn't have done it if I didn't think I was strong enough to get through it. I think about this everyday, and it gets me through it.

Ben Franklin

God helps those who help themselves

I interpret that as loving or kindness and care

my daughter has been running into walls and tables (2yold) so we took her to the eye doc and she passed, but we gave her glasses that were no prescription and it gave her confidence, as well as gave the workers there a nice smile cause she was so cute and walked so proud...her brother has glasses so now she wants to go read like him

it helps us, we loved her enough to make sure she was fine, it brightened other's day, we got a smile and were proud for her, we loved her enough to ensure she was fine and in so doing we showed we love ourselves/her as well

she is us....we are her

you/I are all the same we need each other

god is "us"

when others see us care and love, they do the same

they will do to you the same you are doing to self

I live my life as my belief dictates. one of my beliefs is that the strong should protect the weak. I happen to be of the strong category.

so to me it is not how my religion helps me everyday, but how it inspires me to help others that counts.

today, i changed a flat tire for an elderly couple that was stuck on the road.

sure thing baby,I believe strongly in the benefits of laying down specific rules {10 comandments 4 exam.} and than striving to abide by them.I guess you could call that being organized.I remember times when I was being antagonized by persons who wouldve loved to see me lose my cool [in court] and make me look like a juvenile thug with no self discipline [in front of the jury noless].If I would have I might be in prison right now,but I kept thinking of Sun Tzu's words in his book [the art of war]..."when ur strong make urself seem weak".By doing this the jury saw me as being docile and found me not guilty..

Specific example # 1...he gave me this scripture for you:

"Knowing this, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts..."
