How old is he now? If he is between 2 and 3, and isn't noticing the wetness- this is still typical of boys. Boys generally take longer than girls to potty train, and part of it is because they don't mind as much about being wet or messy. Don't worry... just keep working on it. When you do start to potty train, use underwear- that way he can feel the difference between the wetness.

I think it just depends on the kid. My oldest didn't start peeing in the potty until she was 3 and she just turned four and started poopin in the potty. But my best friend's little girl just turned 2 and is showing a lot of interest and has even peed in the potty a couple times. Both of them didn't care about wet/dirty diapers. Just don't push him. It is hard and frustrating I know but it will come.

Go to the head of the class... My son hated wet or dirty diapers and was a breeze to potty train. His younger sister didn't care how wet or how dirty her diapers got, and I thought she would have to learn to change her own diapers so she could to to kindergarten.

I doubt it. My daughter doesn't mind at all either, but she likes to go on the potty. (she is 2 and we just brought out the potty) Once you try potty training you'll probabally put him in underwear and that is totally different that diapers. Diapers now only get saggy, not wet (to the child) If they wet their underwear then they'll be wet!!!! And I'm sure they won't like it!

My baby brother was never bothered by wet or dirty diapers at all. My mom said that he would sit in soiled diapers until he got a diaper rash, so to help combat the problem my mom began checking him hour by hour.

And that was back in the days of cloth diapers, rubber pants, and safety pins, when babies felt the discomfort of being wet or dirty. Some kids mind, while others don't. I call it individuality.

for my section, I do trust she is waiting for that potty chair. Make sence too for the reason that she's uncomfortable with having a humid diaper on. you should have actually began getting her used to the potty once she began walking. i began potty practise my daughter at 11 months & she had it down thoroughly through the time she changed into i imagine... 20 months. GOODLUCK!

Not necessarily. You just have to turn potty training into something he wants to do. Find a way to make it fun, and reward him for playing along.

All it means is that he is not yet ready to start potty training.
