Anxiety attack for sure. I had one right after my divorce was final. It's very scary and very real. You need a good doctor that can help you regulate them. I had the best of luck through natural therapies, herbs, vitamins, etc. Good luck.

The first thing to do is RELAX.......Take LONG, SLOW, DEEP BREATHS, and that should help some. You are probably hyperventilating and if you keep doing this, you WILL pass out and lose consciousness. This is part of why you feel dizzy. The next thing to do is hold off on the xanax and let it work. I don't know the dose of the xanax you are taking, and how far apart you are taking your doses of xanax on a regular basis. Xanax is an anxiety-reliever, and as such, it should be SLOWING your heart, breathing, and such DOWN, not speed them up. Your hyperventilating is causing this. The other thing to remember is that anxiety-relievers(anxiolytics) can slow everything down so much that you stop breathing and your heart stops beating if you take too much at a time. So, be very, very careful. Blood pressure and pulse change all day long with change in activity level---that is normal. Blood pressure and pulse also depends on your weight, height, medications, age, if you are sick, medical problems, if you are an athlete, etc. What may be normal for you may not be normal for everyone else, depending on the situation. I would make sure that you have a COMPLETE PHYSICAL, and SPECIAL bloodwork to make sure you are not anemic, or have thyroid disease or other things that can be picked up by SPECIAL blood work. Also a simple Cardiology(Heart Doctor) consult could be done once to ease your mind and give you a second opinion by someone who actually specializes with the heart. If you don't have a therapist you need one ASAP to help you with dealing with your anxiety issues, for you must be on Xanax for a reason. The last thing I would suggest, if you are still feeling bad now is to call 911 and go to the ER, where all of the things I mentioned can be checked out...........Brown Sugar And Spice

Your heart's ok so why the anxiety? Anxiety and panic attacks will mimic a heart attack. There are good medications on the market besides xanax which is a benzodiazapine and can cause dizziness. Ask your Dr. about trying Effexor XR. It is good for anxiety and panic disorders. Start with 75mg per day and you can increase to 150 mg/day after one week, then after a week at 150 mg you can increase to 225 mg per day. Just ask your Dr. about it. It should help.

Sound like anxiety to me. It happens quite a bit. If you start getting some tingling around your mouth and your fingers start curling in wards and cramping it is definetley anxiety driven. Very common in the hispanic population "hispanic panic" is a term used by medics for this type of thing. Try not to concentrate on it to much and don't hyperventilate. That just makes it worse.

it's definitly an anxiety attack! they suck a bunch don't they? He's not making it up. anyone who has had one will tell you that's what it is. You have some serious stress you should get rid of. Take a personal day of pampering yourself. Got kids? call a sitter and go for a quiet walk to think about what is causing such stress and think about what you can do to help it. Or just stop letting the stress get to you. I know easier said than done.....

I'm sorry you feel so bad, since you have had all the tests done and they are normal, it certainly sounds like anxiety, You are dizzy because you took 3 zanax, quit taking your vital signs, go for a walk or get out of yourself and you will feel better. good luck

What makes you so anxious? Difficulty breathing? You don't want to o.d on xanax..

Perhaps you need to check you fluid intake and diet..

When you start feeling dizzy.. elevated your legs! get off your feet.. when the head and neck start hurting.. lay down..

Maybe you should get a second opinion.. never hurts...
