Yes. 8-9 hours is normal. Are you depressed? Are you lacking in nutrition?
I would say it was fine if you were sick and recovering. If you do this a lot, you should get some blood tests or talk to your doctor about it. There could be a serious underlying health problem.

Yes that is way too much. Our bodies were designed for 8-9 hours of sleep a day. It seems to me like you would not get much done sleeping that much and is a huge red flag that you just may be going through a major depression. Talk to a therapist asap!

Depends on how old you are and how often you do this. If you are between the ages of 14-18 your brain is developing and you would need more sleep....i turned out smarter!!

Yes. You should not need more than 8 or 9 hrs. if you are an adult. You may be suffering from narcolepsy. Check with a Dr.

I don't know, I require at least 10 hours to feel good. If I get less, I am tired all day. So maybe that is what your body needs. everyone is different.
