You wouldn't be from Paynesville would you? Those cops are real *****.

My advice would be to contact the attorney general and see if they can provide you with any information. You may also wish to go onto thier website or the the Minnesota courts website to look at codified law or previous case history for the state. To be honest with you, I am not sure what the rules are.

What do you feel the officer did wrong? Stop you for crossing the lines? Check the area of the car where you were sitting? Giving you an alcosensor for admitting that you have been drinking?

The cop is trying to keep drunks from killing other people on the road. I'm not sure what you think the cop did that was improper?

Cities of any size have a Police Oversight Committee which monitors and investigates complaints against the police. Their meetings are open to the public. Police have Rules and Regulations they have to follow, which is usually a bound book entitled,"Standard Operating Procedures." To the general public, cops are cut a lot of slack. If you're in a small town, report these abuses to the City Council.

I know what you have been through. I have been harrassed not only by cops but by others. I live in Va and no matter what you do unless you know laws very well or you are a lawyer or related to one then there isn't much you can do. If you look online type in laws for MN and you should be able to find alist. Yeah I was 17 and my husband now was 19 and when he was kicked out of his moms house one night and we were sitting on the side of a road PUBLIC RD and he said we were tresspassing and called my parents to see if I was aloud to be with him. Then lied to me and said my parents have a warrent out for him and took me home in the police car... When I got home he took my liceance away and handed it to my mom who handed it back to me and when I asked my mom infront of him about the warrent he told her i was lieing! So i know what you mean. I had to look up laws to keep cops and people in general to leave me alone. I wanted to be a lawyer but alot of them lie too so I changed my mind on that

So what's the harassment? You got tested for alcohol and passed and was sent on your way. I don't see what the problem is. That police officer is making the roads safe for me and my family, and I thank him.

Is it just me, or are most of the people who have trouble with police illiterate morons?

I think if someone is being harassed by the police, they probably know that they are!
