I think you need another doctor. I had the same problem with my first labour. I didn't even know that I had a doctor that I didn't like, until I met one that I did like. My first baby weighed well over 9 pounds. When I went in to have my second, I was shaking and crying scared. With my new doctor, I did not feel a thing, no pain at all. And his main concern was keeping me comfortable and pain free. I told him that if I knew about him a long time ago, I would have kept having babies, lol. I think you need a doctor like that. You dont have to settle for one, shop around til you find one as good as this one was to me.

I had a very traumatic birth with my first but you have to remember that it was with the first preg. It will have nothing to do with a ck up or another preg. My second baby was 6 yrs later(divorced and remarried during the 6 yrs) and he was super easy! Just 8 hrs from the first to the end! But the thing to rember is each one is different and if you are scared you are putting your body and mind through stress that can be avoided. Just relax and take care of yourself. No one else can do it for you. Dr visits are very important and they can catch problems tha otherwise could end your life if not treated! Then who will raise your 2 yr old?Best wishes!

Congrats!!! :}
I'm glad that you and your daughter made it through. Childbirth is truly a blessing on every occasion.
I was in labor for over 27 hours with my daughter 25Dec2004. And I've really just starting to get use to opening wide and letting them do their do-so to say. When you go to get paps just take slow breaths and try to relax.Try to remember that your darling baby with a BIG smile waiting for you to get back to her ASAP.
And also I've learned that it's better go through with it relaxed rather than tensed and upset. Because our babies can always sense our moods. So during your next visit try it and see how much better you will feel.
It will be okay! It is perfectly normal to be affected emotionally by a traumatic pregnancy as well as by everyday life.
A Loving Nurturing Mother of a 3yr old_:}

After such a tramatic even it is normal to be hesitant on going for female check ups.
But think about it this way...it is better to just go and get it over with and know everything is ok that wait.

Nobody likes vaginal exams! You must know that it will be nothing like your labor. Explain to your doctor how you feel. I'm sure you're not the only one who has ever felt that way. Please take good care of your health - if not for you, then for your family's sake. Good luck & be well.
