Serious bring only the clothes on your back. Everything else is going to get shipped home. So do not bring anything valuable with you. Once you go through processing, the clothes on your back are going to be put into a bag and everything else is going to be shipped home and pray that it makes it there because my stuff never made it home from boot camp. As far as soap and toiletries, you will be buying that stuff at the Navy Exchange on base. They will give you an allowance (A smart card) to purchase those items.

NOTE: This list consists of things you can retain when entering boot camp if, and only if, there is adequate locker space. There are times when the some of the items listed above will not be allowed even with adquate locker space. But generally, these are the items you can bring.
Got this from my Navy DEP booklet. Although I've heard that a lot of these items are sent home eventhough they are on the list of retainables.

i've got faith you would be making use of army issued. Ask the recruiting offiicer. in case you do convey one make it one piece. There are some notably vast jumps interior the learning and a small possible fall off. maximum each thing you decide on in boot camp is given to you. convey what you may shelter your pores and skin. %. as low as achievable. i might bypass to the stylist and get my hair decrease in a quick bob, this might make making waiting interior the morning lots much less complicated. in case you may bypass shorter, then do it, It ought to be above the collar. peace and sturdy success, Pam

Just bring yourself. a couple changes of civilian clothes. Toiletries. About as much as you would take for a weekend.
And don't worry at boot camp they just try to mess with your head and get you in physical shape. you should breeze through it.
Thank you for serving.

the clothes on your back.. which will be boxed up and mailed home. you are allowed a religious artifact, a bible and possibly a watch. anything else will be locked away(liek your wallet) until you graduate. Don't bother bringing anything else, you won't be allowed to keep it.
