I've never heard of a Tickle test for depression and have serious doubts about its accuracy. I hope that you will get a second opinion from a doctor who specializes in mental health/mood disorders. There's no "quick test" that can tell you if you are depressed or not. There are lots of criteria and a doctor should make that diagnosis.
Both are mood disorders caused by chemical imbalances in the brain and how it regulates serotonin, a mood affecting chemical. Depression means you have a low mood, low energy, and other symptoms most of the time. Bipolar means you cycle back and forth from feeling and acting "up" or high energy, to feeling and acting "low," sad, or tired.
The mood changes don't necessarily have to be "sudden" for it to be bipolar. Some people cycle quickly, within hours or minutes, but some other people cycle more slowly, like over days, weeks, or months. It's the extremes, the severity of the mood, high or low, that makes it disabling, not the quick changes.
Both can be treated with medication and therapy.
There is also a disorder called "cyclothymia," which is sort of like bipolar, only far more mild. You have mood swings and changes in energy level, but not to the disabling level of someone who has bipolar disease. This might be what is called "a little" bipolar.
Please get a second opinion and good luck to you.
p.s. Can it kill you?
Depression and Bipolar disease are both serious mental illnesses that need to be treated, usually with medication - the best outcome data is from people who had both medication and therapy (talking to a counselor). Without the right treatment, many people with depression or bipolar disease are at a high risk of committing suicide or engaging in other behaviours that can kill them - alcohol/drug abuse, reckless driving, sex with strangers, etc. Suicide is the greatest risk of death with these illnesses.
The chemical imbalance itself won't kill you, but it might affect your thoughts so greatly that you end up doing something to hurt yourself. And that is a real tragedy because these illnesses are not usually hard to treat.
Email me for more info or to talk. I'm not a licensed counselor but can point you in some good directions.

As a 3rd year Psych main heading for my PHD i know the variations and Nurse answer pointed them out. Scientific despair is an on going, degrading, most likely downward spiral to hopelessness, even with meds. Despair can more often than not most effective trade when the instantaneous atmosphere additionally changes, IE: i'm severely depressed about an limitation inside the context of my occasions. If the situations don't change, neither will my depressions. We additionally contribute to our gained despair in ways like hopelessness. I obtained fired from a job, I ought to have executed whatever incorrect. I are not able to get a new job on the grounds that I may do something incorrect there too, so I wont hassle to appear for a new job in view that i consider it is going to be futile to do so. Manic/Depressive...Bi Polar is a little more complicated and more difficult to diagnose within the explanations. One hour, momen, or day I may consider means UP and jubilant, despite the fact that I do not know why. The following second, hour or day I may be in a extreme depression, also now not understanding why, however much more burdened concerning the why. Heck the day prior to this I felt satisfactory, what occurred? Dallas

FIRST OF ALL, IGNORE TICKLE. They have a number of banal tests designed to draw people into their service. After taking the 1st test, they may try to sell you a more in-depth report, and will put you on the list for lots of tests. Tickle is not a valid resource for medical diagnoses. I have taken the IQ tests, and some others, but just for fun. Medical conditions should not be a source of entertainment. Listen to your doctor, or even better get at least two opinions from independent medical professionals.
Addendum: I have read the previous answers and suggest you give special attention to the post of LisaT. I don't need points badly enough to discount her informed and articulate post.

think of the North and South pole in Bipolar. Some days your happy as can be, on top of the world, next thing is your depressed and feel so low you are at the south pole.
The changes can come rather quickly, within a matter of seconds, minutes, hours or even day to day.
See a psychologist who can prescribe some medications to help even out your moods.
