Its perfectly possible. With my first child over 10 years ago I had an episiotomy because I was too young (and not yet a nurse) to know I could refuse. The doctor actually cut accidentially into the labia, which I have only just been able to have repaired. I have also never regained full sensation in the entire area.

That can happen. I've been told by medical professionals that a tear is easier to repair and heals faster than an episiotomy. Next time - if there is one - you can refuse the episiotomy, but be sure to make your wishes known in advance or they will do it routinely.

I imagine they could have damaged a nerve slightly. Its a whole lot of nerve endings down that area, so its possible they may have been damaged.

I had an episiotomy too, ive not lost any feeling, but I imagine its possible. I saw my u-no-wot in a mirror after, it looked like someone had taken a baseball bat to me. I was black and purple for ages, so imagine it could be possible that nerves are damaged.

Yes, it is quite possible to lose feeling after an episiotomy.

yes, there have been reports of nerve damage depending on how the doctor cuts. I had to FIGHT my doctor to let me tear naturally. It's so much easier for them to stitch you back up if they cut you, but its not what nature intended. Let's hope your feeling returns.
