I named an outside stray cat Tiger, no one else thinks its a good name, she seems to like it though, is Tiger a good name for a rather large light coloured orange kitty?

Not a particularly imaginative name, but better than the poor creature getting stuck with something like Itsy-Bitsy-Little-Fluffikins, or even worse...

It is a fine name, just not an original name. If you like it and the cat likes it, then keep it. Who cares what anyone else thinks. My dogs name was Binky. Everyone made fun of that name, but I liked it and it had meaning to me because when he came to me he had a pacifier in his mouth from the baby of the house. Yah any name will do. Our cat we call Ceags. B/c when he stalks he looks like a cougar and since he is domesticated we decided that a domesticated cougar would be called a ceagar hence the shortened name Ceags!!

Not only is it a good name for a cat, it is the BEST name for a cat. My cat was a big soppy grey tabby and was called Tiger. She's your cat. You can call her what you darn well please.
