I just want to be able to know when and how much to eat. What is the time of day when you eat the "big" meal?

Half Spanish here. Most Spanish people have lunch between 14:00 and 15:00. Towns shops are closed from 2 until 5 because of la siesta.

Breakfast in the morning hours.
Lunch in the noon.
Snacks in the evening.
Dinner at night.( The big meal)
and the quantity depends upon your digestive capacities.

The big meal is definitely at night - and they dine much later than we do here in the US if that's where you're writing. 9pm isn't at all unusual to begin dinner there - at least in the Barcelona area.
