VGA (Video Graphics Array) Originally ran at a resolution of 640 x 480

SVGA runs at 800 x 600

XGA runs at 1024 x 768

SXGA runs at 1280 x 1024.

You probably came up with this looking at data projectors? It is important to match the computer feeding the projector to the projector's native resolution.
