In a lot of place now they are cutting the budgets and funding for music and art classes and I want to know what people think about the situation. Whether they should cut the programs or are the programs actually beneficial.

I think is stupid!

Kids must be exposed to all kind of arts when they go to school. Arts Open your mind, your heart and your soul... Arts make you more sensitive, Arts will help kids to develop fiscally and mentally skills that will help in Maths and Languages and other classes in the regular curriculum.

To cut the funds for these programs means to cut kids creativity, interaction and social skills, discipline and love for the fine and performing arts.

I think these programs are extremely necessary to help kids to express them selves through the art.

I am an example of that, I discovered my passion for the classical music while I was in the School Band. I decided to be an artist because of that. In fact Music helped me to understand better Maths, and develop my social skills. The Discipline you need to study music can be apply to any other class at the school.

The programs are beneficial. Music and the other arts should be encouraged. Life would be so colourless without the arts.

Music is very benifical. In addition to allowing expression of creativity music can encourage math an critical thinking skills. Encourage poor students to do better to stay in the program. Encourage leadership skills and positive rolemodels.

The programs are benificial possibly, but if the voters vote against every tax levy..... What should they cut? Busing, lunch, dances, maybe after school sports. These things don't get paid for by the magic tooth fairy or something.

It's very sad. I still remember my school violin teacher - I adored her!
