you most likely starting using due to low self esteem from his actions. you figured this happened to me so i will do this because of it. the drugs temporarily blocked the memories. Only making it worse when the high was gone.
the things that happend to you are terrible without question. But you must have some reasons left that make life worth living.1 being you still have your life to live. there are many that dont even have that. A life to live that is.
you must understand that what happened was not your fault or caused by you in anyway. if your healthy?{not physicly damaged} you can still do normal things with normal people. you can still be a normal person just like everyone else.the memories will most llikely never go away. talk about them with those you allow to get close to you. it will help them to understand your feelings. or dont if it brings it back and makes you uncomfortable.your questions answer is yes. its all linked to what he did.but you dont have to carry it with you for the rest of your life. find i rock so to speak and stuff all of those memories under it. stand with your head up high and proud. take one step forward away from that rock. dont ever look back and just keep going. A life we have is always worth living. you seem like a smart person. get some professional help. check out more than one dr.
the person who decides your destiny is you. there are people that love you. dont let them or yourself down because of another persons actions . however horrible they may have been.we only have this one life to live. we may as well be as happy as we can be while living it.
E
good luck

In many cases, a person's past, like a bad situation at home or a majorly traumatic event, is a factor. People just want to forget the pain. Counseling might help, but, no matter what you do, quit the drugs.

Some ppl do drugs for that reason, but some ppl just like getting high. There may be a link there, with you, but we couldnt possibly know the answer to that.

Im so sorry that happened to you.

The past would only be used as an excuse. We all make our own choices and we must live by the choices we make. So in answer to your question: No. Those who do get high do so as a matter of choice. They can use whatever excuse they want.

I guess that people who have experienced tramatic events may do drugs to "escape" but there are a lot of people olut there that do drugs and haven't had those experiences.

wow that's really personal and I can kinda relate but I would say that people who use drugs do have issues with something I mean a sober mind is a wonderful thing why do we find amusement in altering it?

I am sorry about your experience, but the only link to your past is that, people that have had phsycological problems are more likely to be prone to drug use. its not exactly what led you to drug use
