that's a thought provoking question. i like it.
i think there's a lot of ppl who go underneath the radar, because they're not famous, but have lived a life filled with love and compassion toward all.
but, if i were to choose a public figure that we all can agree upon, i'd say "Gandhi" because I love him. He's really an amazing person who was able to change the course of history by his non-violent ethics. MLK also changed the course of a whole country, in much the same way.
I love Mother Teresa as well...
I'm going to also throw into the race The Dalai Lama. He has been a crucial figure in expanding the idea of a free Tibet, fighting Chinese occupation while espousing non-violence and compassion.

What makes Jeebus so moral? If he even existed he is just like the 1,000's of other charlatans claiming a message from Gawd. His teachings are what is sparking all the hatred the xians spew out every day as they try to take over the world with their insanity.

My votes are split between the many people here who sermonize daily about what sinners everyone else is. I can only assume that they are picture perfect, and certainly a legend in their own minds.
