That joke has been around since I was a kid and I am 56 lol. Survivors are obviously not buried...the dead are buried. Geez!

The survivors went home. The victims could be buried .Very oldie, I fell off my pottie first time I heard that :-))

The survivors are buried wherever their family etc. desire - and this may be many years after the crash... as they "survived".
It is no longer the case that people are buried where they die, anyway... bodies are regularly flown all over the globe for interment.
