The poor kid. Three whole years without a bm, he must have felt light as a feather after that.

At 3. We were camping and we made him sit in the trailer on the potty. He was crying because he didn't know what was happening. But after he did it, we had the biggest celebration!!!! Now, when he goes to the bathroom (2 months later) he gets SO excited, He will run out of the bathroom and say, "Mom, I went poopy!!!!" And he will get so excited.

I'm assuming you mean his first poopie on the potty chair. My daughter was almost 3 years old and, man was she proud of herself. They feel like a big kid when they learn the potty chair thing. It is so cute!

You mean go to the potty? My son was also 3. He went when he was 2, but not well.
I know kids who are over 4 and are still not potty trained.

well there first one was before I would even put a diaper on for the first time. But as far as first in the potty, then my girls were about 2. They were easy to potty train. Be happy, this is the first step to becoming diaper free. Congratulations.

My son is three and is potty trained I think his first on the toilet was a little before he hit 2 yrs old. It depends on the kid some take longer than others if they arent ready you cant force them, just let them watch you or a sibling and they will start wanting to.

Congratulations!
This is a wonderful milestone for your child and you.
The end of diapers and fanny wipes is coming!
(Now prepare yourself for the inevitable peeing on the seat and floor. : )
Being potty trained at three years old is pretty common for little boys.
That's when both my boys were able.
All my friends who have girls say that girls are easier and faster to potty train.
One friends daughter was potty trained at a year and a half. Oh, the joy!

Right at 1 1/2yrs old almost 2yrs old I had gotten her pottie right after she started walking at 10 months. I couldn't wait to start her pottie training.

Good Luck with the pottie adventures.

Yay for him! It varies, my twins were three and a few months when they did - they had the very common problem of being afraid to poop on the potty (weird, but a fact). Give him some gold stars and he'll keep up the good work!
