They all say " convert the heathen unbelievers to save their souls from an eternity of punishment and regret . Those that are not like us and do not believe as we believe are the unwashed and are in need of a cleansing ".

Yes, this attitude is not tolerant at all. This attitude rules from on high through some nebulous empirical prerogative that can not be verified as fact beyond doubt. That is why separation of religion and government is indeed necessary.

The Quran 008.012
Remember thy Lord inspired the angels: " I am with
you: give firmness to the Believers: I will instill terror into the hearts of the unbelievers: smite you above their necks and smite all their finger-tips off them."

The Bible Luke 19:26-28
"He replied, 'I tell you that to everyone who has, more will be given but as for the one who has nothing, even what he has will be taken away. But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them, bring them here and kill them in front of me." After Jesus had said this, he went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem.

Religion, no thanks away with them all.

Because the infidels are not the other religions, the infidels are the demons, satans, fallen angels, and all of them are inside of you( in your thoughts, actions and desires) when you could kill those infidels you can live an other reality........

since the Qur'an has been around for over 14 centuries,if this indeed was something contained in the arabic text, and if it was a command from God Most High, then seeing how the people were more sincere to their faith, wouldn't history have some type of record that illustrate your interpretation of the Arabic text of the Qur'an?A word to the ignorant,"Peace!"

It only says that about a particular group of pagans that had defiled the shire (Ka'ba) and killed innocent Muslim women and children.

Only Osama and people like you who believe him actually think it applies to ALL infidels.

ok ive heard different ideas. but through my life time i have seen nothing "loving" from them.

isnt it ironic when the pope made the comment that muslims are too violent that they protested in a violent protest on the streets?!

No, it doesn't. This has been pointed out ad nauseum. Religion divides people, spirituality unites people. Apparently, most of the human race likes to remain divided.

Christianity has excerpts in the bible that are less than peaceful.

I still follow it. Both were written by men and subject to their interpretations
