There's this girl at my school who got saved about a year ago. Thing is, now she's out practically splashing people with holy water. Anything you do, she has a Bible verse. "Don't do that because Mark says..." it never ends. She's so adamant about judging people and telling them why they're wrong. But then she turns around and will make fun of somebody's hairstyle. It's getting mad annoying. If I make a joke, she'll say, "You shouldn't say that because Luke says..."

I'm a Christian, but I think it's wrong to go around and get on EVERYBODY for swearing or getting a tattoo or sleeping in church...I mean, nobody's perfect, so it's senseless to go around and point out everyone's fault, especially when she's gossiping about people three seconds later....it's your average holier-than-thou thing going on...what should I do?

Make a list of her sins, look up where in scripture she is wrong and quote scripture right back to her.

She is being prideful (one of the 7 deadly sins) and a hippocrate.

Show her where she is doing exactly what she rebukes others of doing and tell her that until she is able to avoid the same sins on a daily basis that she has NO AUTHORITY to preach until she learns how to lead by example.

Also, find out what church she goes and talk to the Priest/Pastor/Minister there and ask him/her for help by talking to her.

Hope this helps.

Good luck.

Be leniant with her, she`s just excited and new to the faith, evryone has done that at one time or another, she`ll grow out of it and realize she`s wrong for it. Sit down and talk to her about. Show her verses in scripture where it says she shouldn`t do those things, nicely though. I have been a Christian for twenty years now, and I remember when I was like that at the beginning, she`ll grow more Spiritually mature as time goes by, but you can help her still. God Bless !

let her know she is not perfect either, practice what you preach would be something you can say. she will likely be offended if you try to correct her, also pray for her. i forget the verse,it is in one of the gospels, but it basically says if someone has wronged you find another from church and rectify the situation, if she refuses to make amends take it to the leader of the church to fix the situation, in this case it is her ignorance and being a hypocrite.

You should really introduce her to the Gospel of Y!amster Yahamsterius.

On the other hand if that means she'll be here bugging us, maybe that isn't such a good idea. But the Yamster commands us to spread His word and sunflower seeds. oh dear me, what a dilemma. Oh Y!amster please give us guidance.

Tell her.

Proverbs 15
32 He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul: but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding.

Her response will either be willingness to change or anger. If it be change, walk it out with her--showing her the err. If it be anger, walk away and pray for her in secret.

Peace.

She sounds to extreme, I know people who are. Ask her how she can be so religious one miiute and then break the commandment about "bearing false witness." The bible applies to everyone. Then remind her, "don't judge lest you be judged."

She sounds really freakin annoying. I have an idea. Get a small vial of water and put devil horns on it. Splash her with it and tell her it's "Satan Water" and if she ever talks to you again you'll put a curse on her with it.

You can inform the counselor or someone in the office. but you didn't say it was public school. sounds to me she is over the line even if you in parochial school.

Remind her that Jesus said, "Judge not, lest ye be judged," and "Let him who is without sin cast the first stone."
