It's only rude to the uptight. I personally think your sense of humor is funny. Others just don't "get it" and that's too bad. :-( I'm going to pray for them....

Well, it can be considered rude. First of all, the Christian and Jewish religions believe that it is a sin to take the Lord's name in vain. Seeing as these are the two largest religions in the world, I would say that common courtesy would be just to keep your mouth shut. For by saying that you're listening, you are also taking the Lord's name in vain, by saying that you are God. You may not be of faith, and neither may I, but courtesy is still needed, so be nice and stop acting like an idiot.

It's not only rude but it's a big sin in Islam. Even if you do it jokingly, it's not allowed in Islam. On the Judgement Day, God will ask you, if you think you are god go ahead and create a human being. And once you cannot, you know where will be your place - Hell of course.
So I suggest you stop this joke, for your own sake.

depends on the person. some people are more easily annoyed than others and it is quite an offensive remark. i wouldn't encourage you to keep replying in that way as it could be construed as blasphemy,or at least it sounds that way to me. either way be careful i guess and have a good day.
