Why would you want to. That is the most annoying accent. Atleast the indian accent is funny.

If you have money to spare, you can hire a dialect coach. Other than that, you need a really good ear to hear the different nuances in their cyllabic utterances, and of course, syntax. Each part of Australia has a different accent, just like different parts of England or the US.
Get some good Aussie flicks -- there's one called Muriel's Wedding that was filmed in Australia, with an all Australian cast, so if you can stand to sit through it, just listen and mimick.
Have fun!

Great book called "Accents for Actors." It comes with CDs with exercises and everything. I use it every time I do a show that requires an accent. But you don't have to be an actor to use it :)

I was wondering the same thing myself. Hope this link I've found will help: http://www.boultons.com.au/PET.html --- Looks kind of expensive, though. I wish there was a search engine where you could look up nearby tutors/teachers of the Australian language or accent.
You are right, it is a very beautiful accent.
Best of luck, H.L.R
