I don't think the world would be very different without religion. As you said, the nuts would find something to be nuts about, and they would argue over their acorns until it escalated into a full on Squirrel vs Chipmunk war. Wow, that was dumb. Anyhow, it's against human nature to be "peaceful" with everyone. In other words, we like to disagree with people, and we like to fight with people. Peace itself is impossible just because of human nature. That is why war is never-ending.
Edit-We're not just talking about church, we're talking about all religion. Meaning, that yeah, you wouldn't have to deal with church, you wouldn't have to deal with terrorists, but who knows what you would have to deal with. By the way, learn to spell, because if you spell Sunday with an o, you make yourself seem rediculously stupid, especially sinse there is a spell checker built into this site. At that point, no one wants to listen to a word you are saying.

The world would be the same, people are people the world cares not. The question needs to be: would human civilization be better if people didn't need religion? If we didn't need religion, than religion wouldn't exists. Why do we need religion? Is the next logical question. What would have to change about humans in order for them to not need religion? Would that change be for the better or the worse?

religion divides
spirituality unites
dirty? the temple priestesses kept thier temples up and running for a fee....through these sex goddesses they helped you find the lord through union and serious orgasms
if that is what being 'saved' is...count me in
it makes perfect sense why sensuality and sexuality were demonized...the union of two people or more is a mystery and is sacred, holy
virtual intercourse such as this Y!Answer dialogue is another way to join the minds and spirit just not as intensive with all the sweat and heavy breathing

religion is important, not religions. there is simply to many religions in the world, if we followed Christ and the church he established we would all be fine. however in gods plan we have to go through trials and tribulations to show him the depth of our love for him. the devil is still here causing problems between religions, i personally feel the catholic church is the way to go, but i am happy for everyone and their decisions, god bless and have a good day.

Religion and humanity were born together. They are inseparable.
Monotheist religions do not not start wars; it's human beings that cause wars.

For me, the world would be black and white without Jesus Christ and the Word of God, the bible. He adds all the beauty and color to my life.
