First off NEVER brush your hair! Just separate your curls with a comb!! You can use mouse or aussie scrunch spray in damp hair and just let it air dry! Deep condition it regularly to keep it free of dry split ends that make it more frizzy!

I have really curly hair too. When I want cute waves, I will sleep with huge soft curlers in my hair. Then in the morning I use a product that is hard to find now called Joico I.C.E. Not Joico Ice Gel which they will try to sell you - just Joice I.C.E. I run my fingers through the curls with the I.C.E. and I get nice waves instead of kinky and it holds my hair in place all day - no frizzies. I have never found another product that works like it for my hair.
When I straighten my hair, I use my own home remedy - I mix olive oil and vanilla together. (The vanilla keeps me from smelling like a french fry) :) I rub a little of the mixture on my fingers, take a thick strand of wet hair, massage the mixture into the ends, not the roots, (which is the frizziest part of my hair) and then straighten it. My hair comes out really glossy and no frizz. I can even sleep on it and the next day it is still glossy and smooth.
Hope that helps!

Me too, until recently. I love the product line of Beyond The Zone, you can only get it at Sally Beauty Supply. It's a knock off of Tigi, but works great and has an awesome price. I use Noodle head activate your curls spray (it reactivates lifeless curls), then I use Noodle Head kick up your curls creme (really the creme is enough on it's own, but I love the softness I get by using this mixture of products), then I part my hair where I want it and put moose on top and on the tips and scrunch it in, Finally I use Beyond the Zone flipped out hairspray. Sounds like a lot I know, but it works awesome and I don't have any frizz. It makes my hair look wavy and soft and it's not stiff at all.

Hey. lady. I have an afro, and My baby hates it. I refuse to put a relaxer. I have a maxi glide and a mini glide. I have straightened it so much that I have inches of split ends. I am going to try John Frieda's Frizz Ease, and see if a trim will help with the look. The other problem that I have is that this area has a ton of humid weather and rain. So, I end up looking like the love child of Richard Simmons and Tina Turner. You can try drugstore.com to read reviews. Be sure to take them with a grain of salt, or you will end up like me with a bathroom full of hair products that simply don't work.

I just put plain old conditioner in my hair...no gel...no mouse....no hairspray...nothing with alcohol in it. I use the Neutrogena Triple Moisture daily deep conditioner....i leave it in all day...and rinse it when ever i wash my hair next.

aloe vera gel - helps hold the frizzies in place, and moisturises. Don't brush your hair when it's dry either, just finger comb.
