This is a serious question concerning my father's health. He was living a good life just a few days ago. He just got a new job that he enjoys, he found out my mom did not have cancer, and was getting in shape. Overnight he just snapped and started yelling at both me and my mom, and I could tell he hated us with a passion. I could see hatred in his eyes. He is not acting normal. I don't know what to do, or who to ask, but I want to know whats wrong with him. Is there a medical disease or something that would drive a person to act this way?

I'm not sure what your father has but maybe you need to talk with your mom and she can help you or talk to one of your dad's friends.

Good luck.

Sounds like your Dad is under alot of stress even though he's just gotten good news. Sometimes people handle themselves with strength during the rough, uncertain times and then fall apart once it;s over. Maybe you could find a quiet time when your Dad is relaxed and ask him if everything is ok or if there's something you could possibly do because you've noticed that he seems to be under alot of stress lately. Even if he loves his new job...starting over can be very stressful because of the push to be your best, do your best and make upper management happy. I'm sure he still loves you and your Mom it's just him blowing off steam.I hope he will be back to himself very soon.

Maybe he should see a doctor. Something must have happened in his head. Can your Mom get him to a doctor, if so she needs to do it.
