they look nice on some people , dont forget though you have them for life not just for a few days

I am extensively tattooed (hence the name), and regret none of my pieces.
I would recommend, however, that you think long and hard about this before comitting to anything, concrete.
Ensure the following:
1. You choose a design which reflects who you are and is well constructed.
2. You place the tattoo in a sensible location on your body (can it be covered if required?).
3. Choose a reputable tattoo artist. Someone who is respected for both professionalism and hygiene. Someone with a large body of work which can be inspected, and who is willing to assist with any questions.
4. You are certain that this is a lifestyle choice you will not regret.. If you're not sure.. wait!!!
Going to a tattooist and asking - "should I get a tattoo" or "what should I get?" is not and option and will more likely end up in you leaving with nothing or a bad piece.

Only you can answer this question because getting a tattoo is a personal thing I have many each one with a specific relation to parts of my life some to remind me of good times etc. Only you can choose wether to have one or not remember its not something you can just wash off so it has to mean something to you. Cool or uncool doesnt really matter as what cool to one person may not be to other people decide for yourself as that is the only real answer to you.

Not. You may think they are OK now, but wait until you are married, have kids, and grand kids, then the tattoos are nothing but an embarrassment when you have to answer all the questions about why you did it, what each tattoo means, where you got them and so on.

A tattoo is cool only if you want something to reflect you at that time and space. Because in 50 years time you will look at it and think...What the hell was I thinking? And having too many in a visable place gets annoying. Trust me, I have one.

I personally don't like tattoos, it's just like an accessory that you can't take off or change if you get bored of it. It definitely doesn't go well in every situation, and since people are always changing and (hopefully) evolving, you're stuck (sort of) with sth you might end up hating in 5 years time.

Depends what kind of tattoo it is and whom it is on. However everyone seems to have one now. I wouldn't mind getting a smallish one on my hip, that sounds cool to me.

tattoos are fine in moderation and placed in a good location try and get something that is meaningful to you as a person not just some stupid symbol that you dont know what it means.
