If he is not neutered he is probably out "catting around" and will come home when he runs out of females. I've had some go missing for almost three weeks. Get him neutered and he will stay at home.

I am very sorry your cat is missing :( If I were you I would call all the SPCA`s around you and make missing posters. Someone is most likely to have seen your kitty. If you find your kitty and I hope that you do I wouldnt allow it outside its so dangerous, or you can get a smallpainless chip in the back on the cat that holds your info such as your name and address in case this shall happen again. I hope you find your cat!

Check the local papers, check the local pounds (most don't keep cats for very long), call the local animal hospitals he may have been hit by a car and was taken to the vets. Put an ad in the paper.
If he comes back home make sure he is neutered and keep him in the house from now on. I hope he comes back soon for you.

call the local animal shelter and leave a description, then call all the vets and make sure someone didnt bring him in, if he isnt fixed then hes probably just visiting the cat in heat and they can sense this from up to five miles away.. try to think if any of your neighbors went on vacation right before he vanished he could be stuck in a garage some where... good luck and i hope he comes back

Have you covered all your bases? Go to the animal shelter and turn in a lost kitty report. Hand out flyers in your neighborhood and talk to the neighbors. Put out a little dish of food at night by the door.....it might entice him back.
Is he normally an inside or outside kitty? He could be hiding someplace, too scared to come out.
Have you moved recently? Is this a new home for him? If it is.....he might have gone back to the old place. You could let your old neighbors know, in case they spot him.

I adopted a cat who was going to go to the pound if no one took her in. She went missing, and had never been out doors before...she came back about 3 months later, spent one night with me and then disappeared again. I tell myself that she adopted a family who had the right amount of love for her. (I worked and all ready had two other cats...)

Put up posters, run an ad in the lost and found section in your local newspaper, call the animal shelters and pounds and give them a description of your cat. There might be a chance that they have picked him up. Good Luck!

If you've already posted bulletins around the neighborhood, contacted local shelters, and put treats out for him, then you've done what you can. Now it's up to him to make his way home. Continue calling the shelters though, couple times a week for at least a month.

Our indoor cat got the wanderlust once. After looking for him for two weeks we had just about given up when someone suggested leaving our garage door open just enough for him to get in. Skeptically we tried it and amazingly the next morning we heard a meowing coming from the garage.
It can't hurt to try...
