yes. ive noticed that the kids at my school who dont have a father figure are the ones who are out drinking and doing drugs. kids need a father figure and a responsible mother. kids who grow up without a dad are the ones who grow up spoiled. they need to learn love and disipline. the mother's nature is to teach the child love while the fathers nature is to teach disipline. it would be harder for a single mother to show disipline and harder for single father to show love. its important for a child to have both a mother and a father.

I believe they should. Perhaps I'm from the old school but a man and woman should be married, be sure you want to be together and have a family. Many problems can occur when a baby is born and the parents are separated or find out they don't love one another.

I was raised to believe that people should be married before having children but sometimes accidents happen and things don't work out as intended. I would rather be a happy single parent than in a unhappy marriage.

I do believe that it should be that way, but if something happens to where she gets pregnant before, i don't think they should go ahead and just get married because she is pregnant. It's more stressful.

i do not think that is neccassary nor required as i have a child out of wedlock myself and she is the very best thing that ever happened to me. As my now husband is a fabulous father and has taken her as his own and we also have a 2nd child together after being married I personally do not feel any different toward either child as a result of being in or out of wedlock

I was pregnant with my first child before marriage, and my second after. It was much easier after. People accepted things much better. I did not feel shunned. It was just a more enjoyable experience
