I have always heard that you can't give a child under the age of 12 months honey. After that I believe it is safe. You might want to make sure that it is processed honey and not from the neighbor next door. If you are in doubt I would call the doctor and check with them.

My neice, an operating room nurse, has a 16 month old son. She began when he started walking around furniture at 7 months. She gave him tiny bits of honey, peanut butter, etc., just a teenie tiny taste and saw how he did. She kept giving him little tiny tastes now and again and now he eats pretty much everything. No allergies - thank goodness.

Try that and see how your baby does. Good Luck!

Not before 2 years old. I am the mother of 5 and that's what the doctor told me.

Absolutely. Honey is great for all ages.
Unless you are (few) allergic to it.
Most people use honey as a substitute for sugar.
Great in cereals and tea.
and milk also.
Ice cold milk and honey makes a great shake.

She should be fine to have it now. I reckon it is around the time you stop sterlising all bottles etc, around 12 months. Just watch out for tooth decay - just because it is unprocessed, doesn't mean that the sugars it contains don't rot teeth!
