I am a huge red wine fan, but quit drinking it a month ago for health reasons...

In all my research - found out the following:

All alcohol raises trig. some, but that can usually be countered by plenty of cardio and the right healthy diet.

Some people react differently to all of the sugar in wine - it can cause a rapid heartbeat. I'd wake up in the middle of the night with racing...that's stopped.

I had borderline high blood pressure from lots of stress - after quitting alcohol, it's actually lower than normal now. But exercise and diet also plays a huge part I'm sure.

All that said, I miss the hell out of it!!!LOL...

it does the opposite.

To reduce triglycerides reduce processed carbs and reduce saturated fats.
