The wet food probably tastes better! No need to worry! Just feed him wet instead.
Give him a little wet food, but then also leave dry food out. He'll eat the dry if he's hungry and that's all that's available. You probably don't want to feed him 100% wet, since that can lead to teeth problems. The dry food is good for helping keep the teeth clean.

He knows what's good for him. Buy him a high quality canned food like Wellness or Natural Balance and chuck the dry.
Go to: www.littlebigcat.com and read Dr. Jean Hofve's article titled, "Why Cats Need Canned Food" and "Selecting a Good Commercial Pet Food". The articles are in alpabetical order so those two are at the end. There are other articles on feeding cats too.
I won't belabor her arguments for using the canned, she is after all a veterinarian and knows something about animals.

My cat will not eat wet food and he is picky as to what dry food he will eat. You should only be concerned if he is not eating. He might just be a picky eater. I have a dog that I gave her some dry food. the food had different shapes and flavors in it. She picked out all of one kind and would not the eat the rest of it. Animals can be picky just like humans.
The problem with a male cat eating only dry food is that he is more susceptible to Urinary Tract Infections. You want to give him something with Low Ash content. Hill's Science Diet Original is the one I give my cat.

i have never had that problem and i don't think i ever will because my cat eats absolutely anything (he's male cat too)...., my brother is a mess eater and sometimes drops popcorn, chips and even sometimes noodles.. and my cat eats it.....but my brother doesn't do that anymore...i don't even thinks that's good for the cat...
Anyways some cats i guess are just like that like people ...some eat anything like my brother and some are picky like me....
And it's not weird for a cat to change their taste either...i do it all the time,...
Maybe he liked dry the best and kept eating it, that he just got tried of it ( .too much on a good thing).. i do that all the time....

I wouldn't, I have a 7 year old cat and her whole life as been one of a finicky eater. She only eats Iams and when I tried Purina, she wouldn't eat it for a few days and when she got hungry she would pick through and only eat the bigger pieces in it that she did like. So I fed it to her until it ran out and then went back to Iams, b/c it did change her temperant so that is why I went back to the more expensive stuff.

He probably got sick of it, or is feeling dehydrated, check his nose, see if it's wet as usual, if it's dry it means he's dehydrated. My cats don't eat the same food for a year in a row, they get sick of it and we have to change it.

Either someone in your house is feeding the cat human food or he has something wrong with his teeth/gums.. Check them.. Cause he might be experiencing pain with the harder foods..other than that it probably tastes better.
