Well, what my brother and I used to love about Laguna Beach, was this Hawaiian Prime Rib Restaurant that just went out of business. That place had wonderful prime ribs, good food, a Hawaiian like atmosphere, and it was right next to the ocean. *Crying* We celebrated my brother's birthday there ever since he moved to Irvine and went to school at UCI. We lost my brother to Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes and his favorite restaurant this year. This has been a real painful year for us. My brother loved the ocean and Orange County so much, he died where he lived at, Irvine. The television does not show you the real Orange County and the real people that come from there. There are real true human beings from there. So many people from around that area have helped my family so much throughout this difficult time. I know people have said that people from Orange County are stuck up, Republicans, with little morals, and have too much money, but that is not at all true. These people will help out their fellow man if anything happens to them. They are not the bad people that you see on television. My brother's family, my step-father's family is from Orange County, and the people there are just like people anywhere else, except that there is a nice ocean next to them. They have their bad times and good times, just like the rest of us. Sure, a lot of them have money, but their lives do not revolve around it.

Laguna Beach is known for its artists and the art festival. The landscape is rocky with cliffs and sandy beaches closer to the water. There are many areas which have steps to walk you down the cliffs and onto the beach area. At the center point of town, it is very scenic and there are almost always artists painting near the cliffs. On the east side of the highway that goes through town, it is foot hills and mountain views, where many of the homes are built.
There are many small restaurants and bars which are open until 2AM, including one for gay clientele. A very beautiful and enjoyable place for those who enjoy breath-taking scenery and a laid back atmosphere!

well there is a place actually called laguna beach that is a beach. it is a town as well, it's a bit off the beaten path from LA. it is one of the more beautiful beaches in the LA area, but for good reason. it's as expensive as all get out and one of the ritzy suburbs. (there's a reason the girl's on mtv's laguna beach are snobby!) it's a beautiful place. check it out if you can. but be prepared for rich snobby people.
