Not in Medellin. First off, it'd be stolen from you in about 10 min. Second off, did I mention it wouldn't be yours for very long?
Seriously tho, Medellin is a little large of a city to have that kind of dough for too long. However, in peru you could live like a King forever.
++ Ana Maria is waiting in Medellin to take your $300k! Rich folks down there fly, because its too dangerous to drive. There's a radio show that comes on every Tues (I think that's the night) that is known as the saddest radio show in the world. It is relatives of kidnap victims pleading with the kidnappers to not kill their loved ones, and to be patient while they raise the dough. Quite frankly, it was safer when Pablo Escabar was running the country. THAT's how bad it is NOW.

Don't even think about it. Medellin is one of the most dangerous cities in the world. If I were to buy some property and live quietly for a while, I'd choose San Martin de Los Andes, in Argentina. You could buy a house with $100.000 and live on $30.000 a year in a great place. It's like a small Swiss town. Spring s beautiful and during winter you could ski. The restaurants are great and very cheap.
I've been thinking to do that myself.

the other people talk about kidnaping and a lot of bad things about medellÃn, but i'll be honest with you. medellin is a great city and a beautiful well located apartment may cost about u$100000, a big one, and you can have a king life with the other money for a time (it depens of your needs). MedellÃn is a nice city, don't take care about the bad things, that happen in all the entire world.

you could practically own a town with that kind of dough. but why there im sure a person of your interest would prefer a more fast paced town with modern uptodate medical facilitys consider your move before you make that finacial plunge . you might allso want to consider that columbia is known for its kidnappings and some do turn out to be deadly when ransom demands are not met

I wouldn't even get off the plane. It's a beautiful city and the cost of living is exceptional, but it has a history of violence that should never be overlooked. If you go there, you will certainly be a target and you'll be lucky if the $300,000 you brought with you is the only thing that you'll lose.

I believe it would. Here in FL, a decent 2/2 or 3/2 would run you around $270,000....good luck!

I just answered your similar question re: Peru. Where is it that you actually want to go?
My advice would be NOT Medallin - not unless you fancy ending up as a long-term kidnap victim.
But if you do go - it's very unwise to advertise the fact that you have $300K in your pocket!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
