I start to get so sleepy between 2 and 4. Does this happen to you, and if yes, how do you wake yourself up and focus on the job at hand??

Eat more protein at lunch and fewer carbs(bread, starch and sugar)
Have a cup of tea and a snack-almonds or cheese-again protein.
For me the haze is usually caused by carb overdose and the key is not to cut out carbs-you need them and they're yummy, but to eat more wholesome carbs-whole grains and what-not, plus add some protein and whole fruit and vegetables.
Coffee in the morning can also contribute to mid-afternoon head fog, but I love coffee too much.

It does and because if I take a nap, I know I won't be able to sleep at night, I go outside for a walk or go for a work out to the gym.
Afterwards I feel so much fresher and you might be lacking water. If I don't drink enough, I get really tired. You know what they say, when your thirsty your already de-hydrated. And when that happens your organs will get sluggish which results in you being tired.

Something with sugar always helps. You get sleepy because your sugar level drops about 2 to 4 hours after you eat.

The reason you are having theses episodes is you probablly eat a high glycemic lunch. You need to start eating better and then in the afternoon you will not be so tired. I can help with a good meal plan if you would like just go to my site and contact me. It changed the way I felt in the afternoon!

A diet coke and a banana always worked for me and it even made a meal.
