People hate cops because even tho they are doing a service to the public by keeping our streets safe, sometimes they have been caught harrassing people. In my town they are notorious for beign good ol' boys. I live in Dallas, and here they will get to know you and follow your every move and just wait for you to get in trouble, then when they catch you slippin they'll bust you for say a dimebag of weed. And then you owe the government tons and tons of money and time for something that should've been legal a long time ago. The cops are getting paid and so is everyone else involved. Some cops just like arresting people, and don't even care if you have a family at home or they don't care if you can't afford another ticket...just cause they don't like you they will single you out. I know from experience. The cops will lie, AND they won't tell you your rights...they'll tell you what the whole these are rights things is... actually i have been arrested bout ten times, not proud of it, but they never read me my rights... if i would have known then what i know now, i would have never went to jail... for example.. i did not know until after i went to jail that i could refuse to take a sobriety test, then they would have just said ok youre free to go, but since i said yes, they arrested and molested me.... i hate them... i dont hate honest people who are sincerely there to do the job of keeping america safe, but i DO hate cops that have an agenda to push people around...they're uniform gives them a really big ego.

People hate Police Officers because either 1. they are dopers or some other piece of garbage that have been arrested before. 2. Are wanna be criminals but don't yet have the ba**s to make up there mind which side of the fence to ride. or 3. there mommy and daddy didn't raise them right and to respect authority.

I don't hate cops, oh by the way I am in law enforcement, and I HATE dough-nuts as do many officers that I work with. All dough-nuts are is flour and grease. The Police Officers that do eat dough-nuts do so because they do not have time to sit down for a real meal during there 8 to 12 hour shifts because they have to stop eating and chase after some moron that has broke the law.

I have always been amazed at the amount of people that hate police officers, but who is the first person they call when they have been raped, robbed, burglarized, etc and they also expect that the very SECOND that they hang up the phone the police are suppose to magically appear from a cloud of dust ready and waiting to here every whinny piece of crap you can imagine.

Police officers are subjected to social pressures you can only guess at. What they see everyday and have to cope with from the scum of the Earth would make you sick. They do the best they can to keep us safe and secure from the likes of people who have no conscience whatsoever and most of the time they have to watch criminals walk free because some attorney managed to find a way around the law despite their guilt. Probably half of the countries officers feel their job is nearly pointless as a result and frustration is all too familiar. The tragedies and horrors they see in a year of work can be as bad as being a soldier on the front lines. Battered wives and children, murder, car accidents... it all adds up to a job that few can stomache let alone endure as a career and keep a positive and open mind throughout. If I could, I'd thank each and every one of them personally for what they have to do for so many who really don't care or understand even the smallest bit of what is expected of them. Not all cops are good cops... that's true; but most are and they deserve much more than they recieve.

Most cops are narcissists. A select few are good men & women, but most go into the business solely for the incredible power they are able to wield. Most cops are psychologically identical to those on the other side of the bars; they just happened to choose the other career path. Most cops view themselves as an elite to keep the population under control, instead of the SERVANTS they are. Finally, cops restrain GOOD citizens far more readily than criminals...gangstas and druggies could be "taken out" by armed citizens like myself if the cops didn't protect them.

They bug the crap out of anyone 16-25 just because they are young and they might be up to no good. I have been stopped in my own neighborhood a few times to be searched and/or have my ID checked. My friend was ticked for doing 41 in a 40. I was ticked for my exhaust pipe being too loud when I have not done anything to it... the cop didn't care/believe me. They target sports cars in my area, and I don't know why. I have been in the car when people have given tickets, approximently 10 tickets I have seen, and not 1 warning was given. My friend was passing someone who was doing 10 in a 20 when the road was clear both ways, and he was pulled over. The cop got out of his car all mad and said, and I quote, "Why were you driving like an asshole back there?" The cops in my area are racist, and I have heard/seen their actions reflect this. Yeah, so... there is no fear in why I hate cops, they are just evil around here. Illinois suburbs just fyi.

It's partly when they take pre-emptive action on a suspect who looks 'wrong' - to stop the crime before it happens. I have been harrassed by law enforcement twice in this type of situation.

In the evening of the fall of 1988 I was in the parking lot of a mall running to catch a bus that was about to take off. A civilian car raced to me, cut me right off, a person in plainclothes stepped out and flashed a badge, I explained my situation. He said he didn't believe me and asked for ID. My mother and sister finally had caught up with me as I showed the pig my ID (see an attitude immerging?) The pig said 'okay' (using my name) and said 'have a good evening'.

In August of 2005, I drove my very first U-Haul truck up into Mississipi to move my mother and her things. I had not completely secured the back door so it hopped up and down as I drove. A state trooper drove up alongside me and gestured. I pulled over, The trooper came over to check me out, I got nervous and he decided to detain me, thinking I was doing somenthing illegal. While waiting for backup to arrive, the pig sat on a box with my mom's stuff in it and hummed a pleasant little tune. He casually asked me if I'd ever been arrested. Finally his partner arrived, a much more laid back individual. They thoroughly checked out my U-Haul papers and couldn't find anything wrong. I was let go. They leaned against my right side mirror and I had to keep stopping the truck to adjust it from then on.

I have never been arrested. My hate for cops has really made me bitter, and I can't let go much less forget. Calling them lazy donut eaters is shallow to me. It's much more serious than that. Nothing I have done since last year has helped - home improvements - nothing. I probably need help. Since then, I have coined them as grudge enforcement and outhouse compost. I am almost boiling right now. Ever been near a hissing tar kettle?

I guess the first place to start is to be raised by responsible parents who respect law enforcement themselves. And then responsible news reporting and other media exposure. But since both are driven by profit...

It's always a love/hate relationship. We are hated because we pull people over, take away constitutional rights, cost people money but when all hell breaks loose, we are once again loved. As everyone is running in fear, we are running into the problem to stop whatever atrocity is occurring. If we save a life, we are blessed, but if we have to take one to save one, we are ostracized and ridiculed about our actions. The hate part again. But it sells papers and keeps you glue the TV so, ultimately, it make these people money. Most people, I find, are pretty neutral and haven't decided. Remember one thing, we contact 5% of the population about 95% of the time, and yes, it is usually the same people. :-)
