I don't know if it's true or not. It doesn't matter if he has or hasn't. He's got a whole country to run. He can't be expected to attend military funerals. In the first place, if he attends one, he'll be expected to attend all of them. You can't pick and choose. It's just better if he doesn't attend then decide if any matter more than others or people will say they weren't treated fairly and so on. Military personnel know their job and know that's it's appreciated by the President. That's usually enough. It's kinda like asking if everyone in the US sends a card or letter of condolences to every military person that dies since they are protecting America.

This is at least the 10th time this has been asked. Yes, it is true he does not attend fallen soldiers' funerals.
President Bush like past presidents do not attend fallen soldiers'
funerals since it would make the funeral a circus. The family should be allowed to grieve in their own way without the media chasing the President for some comment.
He stays away out of respect & concern not lack of concern. If people thought & researched they would realize how disrespectful to the family it would be to make the day about anyone but the soldier.
President Bush always calls & often meets with families if they desire it.

I don't follow the President's schedule that closely, sorry. But I can tell you that as with all presidents he annually places a wreath on the Tomb off the Unknown Soldier.
While primarily this is to remember the the obvious, the soldier unknown but to God...
But it also is an occasion to recognize and remember ALL those who have died in service to our country. No, this isn't exactly the same as attending every funeral of a fallen service member, but the meaning and significance is a matter of respect shown by our current and all past sitting Presidents.
As for being a C student....true. But then we did have a President that was a Rhodes Scholar and he was Impeached.

Yes, it's true, and he does it for respect of the privacy of the families.
Some people think it's wrong that he sends the soldiers to their deaths and then doesn't attend the funeral, but if something happens to my husband, I want the services, where ever they may be, to remain about my husband and those who held him dear.
I also have to put in a shout-out to iraq51 for the great comment about our former Rhodes Scholar. I needed to laugh today.

he tried once, but ended up going to Arlington, Texas!
I'm sorry that was uncalled for. I'm just still amazed that our president was a C average student. This was the BEST this country had to offer? a C student?

Yes, it's true. He likes killing them, but doesn't have the guts to face the consequences of his orders.
